Multiplayer Bug after patch 1.06 [PS4]

Recommended Posts

As I write this I am sitting in a Sprint race lobby and the countdown to start the race has stopped. The timer stopped and restarted multiple times, then ran all the way down to just two seconds and now has completely stopped and the race won't start (have been sitting in this lobby with others for about 20 min now). The skip track timer is also bugged, and instead of saying the time such as 00:20 it reads 1022:20. This timer keeps flipping back and forth between these two read outs and never stops.

They say they have tested... I don't believe it. What did they exactly test?
They’ve told us before that they can’t properly test lobbies in-house with real world network lags and loads, so I don’t know how they ever expect to ship a solid multiplayer experience. Seems daft t’me, but there you go.

That's not true. We have a group of testers with a range of proper internet connections from various providers and with various speeds which we use to test online elements of all our games.

We can't so easily replicate the pings etc of players across continents or the world but we're doing what we reasonably can.

We'll look in to the lobby countdown issue, can you give me any more information about when this happened? Had the lobby been running for a long time or just started? Had there been a lot of votes to skip tracks or kick players?

I saw this happen when people were voting to skip a circuit. Specifically "1022:20" - then went back to normal countdown when not enough votes were cast.

People try to skip the track cause it is the only way the race starts immediately. But when a new man joins the lobby the countdown restarts to infinite. You have to wait 15 mins to make the race starts. So people leave and join and the countdown restarts restarts restarts

Thanks, that information has helped us to reproduce the problem.
